Martial Arts
The instructors background is in Ed Parker Kenpo Karate and traditional Jui-Jitsu. Martial Arts have many benefits including anger management, decreasing anxiety, improving concentration, improving self-esteem, mastery of fear, healthy communication, and a sense of belonging. It is important to realize that there is not one “best” martial art. Each has its own purpose and strengths. Martial arts are more than a hobby, it is a lifestyle. A true martial artist does not use what he or she knows to hurt people intentionally. These classes will incorporate some therapeutic elements to maximize the benefit to you so that we can all work toward being as healthy as we can and toward our true potential. The goal is to train the student to be able to defend him or herself effectively and to strengthen the balance of mind, body, and spirit. Through this channel we hope you will find a sense of self that you can carry into all areas of your life.
